A recent study by a large insurance company showed that more than one third of us have lost our keys at least once and, more often than not, it proves to be a costly and hugely inconvenient experience.
The study showed that of the 35% who lost their keys, 45% never regained them.
Furthermore, it showed that 23% of those who lost their keys had to break back into their own homes!
Despite crime prevention advice about not hiding keys outside your home and leaving them in an obvious place such as near doors and windows, 11% still claimed to keep a key in places such as under a mat or in the garage!
Surprisingly, 13% of those who were questioned did not even have a spare set of keys!
